πŸ”· 1. General Information

What areas does Clean Sense serve?

+

Clean Sense offers mechanized water tank cleaning services across Hyderabad, Secunderabad and beyond.

What kind of water tanks does Clean Sense clean?

+

We clean a wide range of tanks including:

  • Overhead tanks (plastic, RCC, and metal)
  • Underground sumps
  • Ring tanks
  • Sintex tanks
  • Commercial and industrial tanks
  • Loft tanks (with prior disconnection by a plumber)

Do you serve both residential and commercial clients?

+

Yes, we cater to independent houses, apartments, gated communities, commercial establishments, industrial areas, schools, colleges, hostels, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and more.

How often should I get my water tanks cleaned?

+

Over time, water tanks accumulate dirt, algae, bacteria, and sediment, which can lead to water contamination. Clean Sense recommends inspecting and cleaning:

  • Residential water tanks: every 6 months
  • Commercial or industrial tanks: every 3–4 months

Frequency may vary based on usage and water quality. Water with high salt content or mineral deposits might require cleaning once every three months, whereas tanks that contain only soft water might need cleaning once every six months.

During the monsoon season, you may need to clean your tank more frequently due to higher chances of contamination.

πŸ”· 4. Preparation & Access

Do I need to empty the tank before cleaning?

+

No. Our team will take care of draining the tank as part of the cleaning process. Water is a precious and scarce natural resource. Clean Sense recommends that you keep only minimum water (below 1 foot) in the tanks, prior to cleaning, thus reducing water wastage and speeding up the cleaning time.

Do I need to provide anything for cleaning?

+

No, you don't need to provide anything. Clean Sense arrives fully equipped with all the tools, machinery, and cleaning supplies required to complete the job professionally.

Will you need a power socket?

+

Yes. A 15-amp socket within 10 meters of the tank is required to operate our equipment safely and efficiently.

How do I prepare for the cleaning appointment?

+

Here are a few tips:

  • Maintain minimum water level (below 1 feet) in the tanks and sumps
  • Store sufficient water for essential use
  • If apartment/community, inform watchman / concerned person not to fill the tanks one day prior to cleaning. Inform residents about the cleaning schedule to minimize inconvenience
  • Ensure unrestricted access to the tanks
  • Provide a nearby power socket

Our team will take care of the rest.

What if it rains on the scheduled day?

+

For underground or indoor tanks, cleaning continues. For overhead tanks, we may reschedule in case of heavy rain.

πŸ”· 5. Cleaning Process

How long does the cleaning process take?

+

The time taken for cleaning can be between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the tank size, condition, and water level.

Will there be a water supply disruption?

+

Yes, water supply will be temporarily unavailable during cleaning. We recommend scheduling the cleaning process during off-peak / lean hours to minimize inconvenience.

If I clean all my tanks on the same day, won't I be left without water?

+

That's a valid concern. And, that's why we follow a staggered cleaning approach:

  • First, we clean your overhead tanks
  • Allow you to pump water from your underground sump (for maximum 10 minutes)
  • Then we clean the underground sump

Brief water disruption is expected during overhead tank cleaning.

For apartments or residential buildings, we recommend you schedule the cleaning during lean-usage hours, typically mid-morning or early afternoon, when most residents are at their workplace. This minimizes inconvenience and ensures smooth operations.

What equipment is used in the cleaning process?

+

We use dewatering pumps, high-pressure jets, sludge removal pumps, vacuum cleaners, and UV light for a deep, hygienic and professional clean.

Is the cleaning process safe and eco-friendly?

+

Yes. It is 100% safe and eco-friendly. Clean Sense follows a 6-stage mechanized water tank cleaning process that is completely safe, hygienic and eco-friendly. It is also highly professional, scientific and effective. Our cleaning process thoroughly cleans, sanitizes and disinfects your water tank, making it fully clean ready to receive a fresh supply of water.

Can you clean tanks with mold or algae?

+

Yes. Our process is effective against mold, algae, and sediment buildup.

Can I be present during the cleaning process?

+

Absolutely. You are welcome to observe the process. Our teams follow all safety protocols and will also explain each stage if you're interested.

What happens to the sludge and waste removed from the tank?

+

We dispose of all waste in an eco-friendly manner, either in your rainwater pit or nearby drain.

πŸ”· 6. Water Quality & Safety

What kind of anti-bacterial agent do you use?

+

The only anti-bacterial agent we use is Sodium Hypochlorite (NaClO). It is a widely approved and effective disinfectant that is completely safe for water tank cleaning when used as per standards.

Is the water safe to use immediately after cleaning?

+

Yes. Just flush taps for 1–2 minutes after refilling.

Will the cleaning process damage my tank?

+

No. Our process is designed to be non-invasive and tank-friendly. We use appropriate pressure levels to avoid any damage to plastic, concrete, or metal tanks.

How do I know when my tank needs cleaning?

+

Some of the signs include:

  • Bad smell from the water
  • Water discoloration
  • Visible sediment or discoloration of the tank
  • Growth of algae
  • Presence of insects/pests
  • Floating or sunken particles
  • Contamination due to mixing of rain/drain water
